Sketchbook Playdate
I invite you to be playful in art-making, explore different material combinations, experiment, and open your heart and mind to new ideas. It is through play that we learn and recognise what lights us up, which is key to discovering what type of art we want to make. Sketchbooks allow us to easily keep track of these ideas in one place, serving as a visual diary of our artistic journey.
Nurture Creative Confidence
The satisfaction of filling a sketchbook with new ideas is a powerful experience. With each page, you are working towards the completion of a whole book jam-packed with playful discoveries, curious marks, joyful colours, and thought-provoking memories that will nurture self-confidence in your artistic ability and lead to feeling the satisfaction of accomplishment.
Bite-Size Videos
The Sketchbook Playdate videos are pre-recorded, so you can watch them at a time that suits you best. I encourage you to set aside a specific time—around 20 minutes, the typical duration of a playdate—so you can gradually build momentum in your sketchbook and mark-making practice. The flexibility is designed to fit your schedule and make the experience convenient and fun.
Each playdate will begin with a hello from me, an introduction to the playdate, the materials we'll use, and the goals, transformations, and takeaways you can expect from the session. I'll then move the camera view so you can see my hands working, or rather playing, away.
