Wreaths
Contemporary Botanical Paintings & Seasonal Nature-Inspired Art
Coming full circle, circling back, and moving in curious, creative circles is at the very heart of the Wreaths Collection. This series of contemporary botanical paintings represents a deep study in seeking simplicity through the tangled beauty of the natural world.
The story began in the autumn garden. As the trees shed their leaves, revealing raw, elegant structures, I found myself drawn to a single, slender, twisted branch adorned with bright red berries. Piece by beautiful piece, more foraged finds were gathered, and these hand-painted wreaths began to flourish.
In this collection, simplicity is the intentional result of complex decisions. My work is a carefully measured response to the chaos of nature—a curation of windswept leaves, foraged branches, and welcoming bowls of fresh fruit. By distilling the essence of these objects, I explore how much (or how little) is needed to tell a rich, enchanting story.
The Wreaths Collection is a joyful celebration of the abundant bounty found in our own back gardens. It is about marking the seasons, delighting in visual treasures, and warmly welcoming visitors into the heart of the home.
